Skycatcher Prototype Crashes

A prototype for Cessna’s entry into the LSA market, the Skycatcher, crashed during a routine test flight on Thursday September 18th.

The test pilot was able to parachute to safety with only minor injuries.

I’m not sure what kind of impact this will have on the Skycatcher project as Cessna was planning on delivering the first customer airplane during the first half of 2009.

I know a flight school near us has ordered around 6 of these guys to conduct flight training in, so here is hoping they can figure out what may have happened and correct it swiftly.
